All-Abilities Summer Classes

Kids & Horses is looking forward to our first All-Abilities Summer Workshops and Riding Lessons this summer. Our workshops are open to all members of the community, with an Introduction to Horses Class and Saddle-Up and Ride! Class for ages ranging from 5 to 18 (see more information on each class under the Summer Classes drop-down above). Kids & Horses All Abilities Equine Summer Classes are open to all members of the community to come together for fun, learning, growth and to share in our passion for horses and the outdoors. Those who already have equestrian skills are challenged to learn more and/or share their knowledge with others, while first-time riders gain confidence with the help of our experienced certified instructors (Cynthia Valentine is a USHJA (United States Hunter Jumper Association) Certified Trainer), wonderful horses and dedicated volunteers. Our classes give children and adults, with or without disabilities, the opportunity to gain riding skills and learn about horses in a fun, safe and supportive environment. The Double W Ranch (Kids & Horses) is located in the Carson Valley, between Minden and Carson City. Our facility includes several outdoor riding arenas, a large indoor heated tack room/class room, a large workshop area as well as an indoor arena for riding on inclement weather days.
