Saddle up and Ride!

Ages 5 and up This course covers the areas of equine education needed for basic riding and horse care. Students will begin by learning how to approach, halter, and lead a horse, and then students will groom, saddle, and mount. All interaction will be specialized and modified for each rider’s ability and knowledge. Riders will, from the first lesson, work on basic riding skills including, but not limited to steering, walking, halting, and trotting. Instruction will be on a one-on-one basis and proper position and balance skills will be emphasized. This class runs for four weeks with one-1 hour session per week. Students should wear appropriate riding apparel including pants, sleeved shirts, and proper riding boots. Introduction to Horses is a recommended pre-requisite to this course.
