"Merry Christmas!  I see that you are our sponsor and I wanted to say thank you for your donation.  Unless you come to visit the Kids & Horses ranch you'll never know how much this program really helps these kids.  Mostly my Granddaughter.  She has been going to lessons for about three years now.  She can ride without help and loves to trot.  My husband and I volunteer at the ranch to help with cleaning, weeding and anything else they need.  We enjoy the ranch horses too!!!  What a great program.  Thank you so much for your help!

A fundraiser on behalf of Kids & Horses will be at Artsy Fartsy Art Gallery this Thursday from 4-7. The gallery is located at 220 Telegraph Street in Carson City. The gallery is auctioning off one of Louise Hawes' pieces (Hawes is a volunteer and supporter of Kids & Horses) and proceeds will go to Kids & Horses!  The event should be a lot of fun, hope to see you there!!!

Join us at Awareness Village Yoga Studio in Incline Village, June 4-July 9 from 10am-11:30am to experience Yoga for Equestrians and learn how yoga can make you a better rider! There are many parallels between yoga and horseback riding. Both practices integrate breath and movement. Both connect the mind and body allowing one to identify, experience and stretch one’s physical and mental limitations, and grow physically and mentally. Both disciplines allow one to discern where the body and mind are symmetrical, or balanced, as well as where imbalances lie, and to work to adjust imbalances.
