Kids & Horses has exciting news! Kids & Horses is in the process of buying the Minden ranch that has been its location for over fifteen years. Doug Brimm, Chairman of the Board of Directors, says the purchase creates the certainty that the program will continue in the future. Kids & Horses has been responding to the needs of people with disabilities for more than 15 years. The demand for our therapy services and the opportunity to serve our community continues to grow each year. We keep our rider fees affordable, subsidizing each rider and offering scholarships to families and individuals who demonstrate the need for assistance.
The capital campaign was kicked off at the 14th Annual Fundraiser on September 7, 2013, at The Crystal Bay Club. The “I BOUGHT THE RANCH…for the kids” campaign provides donors the opportunity to “purchase” square feet of the ranch at $2 per foot. The minimum donation of $100 entitles the donor to a certificate indicating the assignment of 50 square feet to that donor. The ranch contains 257,004 square feet as well as a covered arena, a hay barn, stalls, a sensory trail, an outdoor arena with viewing stand and a shop building containing a tack room, office and room for a future classroom for bad weather activities. The ranch is located 6 miles south of Carson City on Esaw Street which intersects with Stephanie Way.
Kids & Horses’ ability to fulfill our mission, meet the growing demand for our services, and expand our outreach into the community is dependent on raising charitable gifts of all sizes. We thank you for considering a donation to Kids & Horses!

For a donation of $500 You bought 250 square feet
For a donation of $1,000 You bought 500 square feet
For a donation of $5,000 You bought 2,500 square feet
For a donation of $10,000 You bought 5,000 square feet
Gift donations in the name of your clients, friends or family members
are available and are welcomed.
